I've never had PS in my Cabby, I didn't see the need for it when I bought the car 18 years ago.1lowcab wrote:or just keep it non-power. i don't have it in my diesel and it steers real easy. i want to take it out of the cab too.

Power assist steering is basiclly for parking and maybe extreme cornering maneuvers. There is little or no difference at driving speeds after about 20 miles an hour. On Cabbys there is a measureable difference in lock to lock when comparing the two but nothing to write home about. You will probably be happier with what you have than to spend a lot of money that really is no major improvement. Save your money because your car will tell you how you are going to spend it and it probably won't be on power steering.
