What is missing?

I've looked in the Haynes manual (Don't have the Bentley yet.) and there is no clear picture. It's jetting out some kind of exhaust but there is a hose missing (I think) and I have no idea where it goes or what should be there. It's in the center of the closeup picture, to the left of the back engine.

That is the Pre-Cat co2 sniffer port. It is missing the blue cap over it.

Not that it matters, but just wanted to point out that that pipe is not only missing its cap, the upper half of the pipe has been broken off.
