Need your help please, my 92 cabby is wobbly at speeds of 40 and higher. Almost every piece on the front end have been changed. I had the wheels balanced and it was cool for like 2 days than it went back to wobbling. I had the car for 3 or 4 years and it has the same tires from when the previous owner bought the car. I worked with him so i know he never changed the tires. He had it for 2 years before me. I need some help, I want to fix it like now, please help.
Thank you
Wobbly

Re: Wobbly
If they are directionally biased tires, make sure that the direction of rotation is correct. There is a arrow on the tire to tell you which way they go. When I have one put on ass backwards this past month it drove very wobbly.
Also bad engine mounts will cause all kinds of wierdness with the driving. I would also make sure that your alignment shop is setting the camber correctly.

Re: Wobbly
Have you tried swapping the front and rear tires? This would help you figure out if it's a tire problem or something else. Sometimes tires get slipped belts or other problems that are hard to see, but make them handle in odd ways. You could also have a bent wheel.
You said you had it balanced and it was OK for 2 days. Did one of the wheel weights come loose? Sometimes if they aren't clamped well they'll get slung off at speed.

Another thought that if you have after market rims, that have the 30 bazillion lug holes in them, and they aren't hub centric that is centers themselves to the hub, you could have a out of round indication.

Re: Wobbly
Brian makes a good point. Also, look into the rotor's. If they are warped enough, they can cause a wobble at speed, but you should really feel it under braking.

Re: Wobbly
Have you checked engine and trans mounts yet? Have you had the front end aligned by a good shop since all the front end work?
