Ok, so I know I do this every so often, an sometimes I deliver and sometimes I don't, but what can I say? I'm human and I seem to have a direct line to Murphy.

Anyway, it's that time again. As I'm overhauling the site and trying to bring the code all up to par and get new themes in place I figure what the hell. Let's make things a bit more interesting and see what else folks might like to see on the site.

So here's your chance. What would you like to see here on TRF? The Cabby Friends Network, which was kinda my idea didn't go anywhere, but that's ok. We all know I don't have the best ideas. But maybe you do.

If you can think of something, post it up. If I can find a way to do it, I will. If not, I'll at least tell you that I'm too dumb to code it (which is something I'm working on btw). So let's here it.

kinda like how the Votrex used to do it...their new system is horrible...lol

First, explain this notification issue. When you get a PM on this site, you get an e-mail about it. Otherwise, you get a pop up as soon as you come to the forums that tells you that you have a PM. That all happens, unless you have disabled those settings under your profile. So aside from sending a midget to hit you in the head with a bat, I don't know what more I can do about PM notifications.

An why the hell were you banned from the vortex? Not that it doesn't happen rather often there, but just curious.

It might be. Not sure I can afford to implement that feature. Midgets an airline tickets aren't as cheap as they used to be.

as far as the pm...the popup window used to contain the actual pms. now you have to navigate to a different page to read them (just like here)
i liked to old way much better.
its kinda of annoying going away from a thread you were reading just to read your pms

Ahhh, now I know what your talking about. I know Vbulletin forum software still does this, but I think it was coded out of phpBB quite some time ago. I'll poke around and see if someone has written an addon to get around that.
