Just messing with you, the car looks awesome. What color is that? More specifically, what is it from?

Ya, it sure gets big with no engine to weigh the front down

Thanks, the colour is Indago Blue and is the blue that was offered by VW on MK IV cars.

It looks brighter than most indigo blues that i have seen. Amazing color on that car. I have always loved that color, then again, i have a soft spot for Windsor Blue
God i miss that car.

Phil, it's looking great! Think you will have it road-worth come spring?

Thanks William, I do intend to have it ready for spring.
First show is the first week end of May and I want to have both bunnies there.

Well I have been working on the engine with Jim, and Have I learned a thing or two.
Here is what my engine looked like last Saturday
When I let Saturday, it looked like this!
Here is what the head looked like.
I should have it finished and home this week end.

Finally, the engine is home in my garage.
Now all I need to do is:
1 install the engine/transaxel;
2 Replace the suspension with the nice lowering kit I bought;
3 Brake job; and
4 hope it starts.

Just a quick update.
The engine is installed. I'm looking for a couple of hoses I removed that I can't find (small matter)
I determined one of the main bearings is shot, but it is not such a big deal since I am doing the suspension/brakes this week end.
Pics to follow!

Nice, cabby. Too bad the weather has been so crappy there this summer (if that is what you can call it). Since I am in Calgary too I might have to swing by and check yours out to give me some ideas for mine.
