Yep, it was a mega-monumental vaccum leak. To be honest, I don't even know how that car kept running (like crap, of course) but never quit running. That intake was virtually separated from the block!

Reminds me of the time I accidentally knocked the brake booster hose off on a '75 VW Bus, then wondered why it wouldn't idle. ;)
