rolling down the window

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

rolling down the window

Post by Dennishawn »

I recently tightened up the screw on my (drivers front)window crank, as it was getting loose.
Now when i roll the window down it wont go down all the way, it leaves about an inch to go. Tightening that window crank screw should not have effected the window travel but it did. I had this problem when i baught the car 3 years ago and had it adjusted once before because it wouldnt go down all the way. I didnt fix it myself so i dont know what they did.

Any thoughts?

Your problem is one of two things either the widow regulator stop limit moved when you tightened the screw or the window regulator has issues... Pulling the door card is the only way I know to have a look see or to adjust the stop
