It's always something... ain't it.

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

I know, when was the last time you tried to dye rubber? I generally doesn't work well.

Even still, it was a poor attempt on my part at humor. I've been stuck working partital day and full night shifts. Virtually no sleep and humor just don't mix.

Well, needless to say, that I took the driver side off first, no big deal, till I noticed that the Strut didn't come back up.... It was the original strut oil filled and everything... 100K and they never replaced the struts....

ok no biggie

Go get some inserts.... Put that side on, then go to take the passengers side off where the noise was coming from and sheeeeeeeit. The strut is bad, oil leaking everywhere... but the dust cover and stop are bad........ run to the parts store one more time...

Well at least I have a bunch of pics of how to change a strut mount and cartridge.... I will post a how to in a bit.

As I was on the phone with Nick the other evenng, told him that I hadn't even had time to adjust the a/c belt, as it was so loose that it was hitting the timing cover and making a hell of a noise....

Well it wasn't the a/c belt, thank God I really hate adjusting that one. It was the Alternator belt that was loose. The adjuster was tight.... The lover pivot bolt decided to leave the car...............run to the hardware store and get a new one... (Howards Hardware in Duluth has a Great selection on Metric Allens and such...)

It's always something.

Reminds me of a story a coworker told me once. He was driving his Scirocco and the alternator light came on. He pulled over and discovered the alternator was missing...wait, no, it was hanging by its cables under the car. All of the bracket bolts had decided to go on their own little solo adventures.
