Raise the headrest as far up as it will go,
Inside of the black hard plastic cover in the slot iis a clip there may be one on each pillar, remove the "C" clip by finding one of the ends.
The using your fist smack that sucker in the middle and up and outta there.

Don't ask me about removing the steering wheel in my 67 MG... needless to say, I learned a valuable lesson that day......Keep the nut on but loose.......1lowcab wrote:just don't smack yourself in the face with it like i have before.![]()
20 minutes later after the last heave ho.... I woke up with a big knot on my forehead, and the steering wheel in my lap.....

I think we've all learned lessons like that. For me it was the oil pan on a 1948 Arens Fox fire truck. It's a good idea to leave the corner bolts in since the blasted pan is made of cast iron and weights a hell of a lot more then your average 14 year old can control.
Had it not been for the large hump in the pan hitting the floor first and leave a lot of room between the floor and the shallow end of the pan, I might be going by Willamina rather then William.
