Well, I like to eat, and I need the monies.

I tell folks that I haven't had a weekend off in years............ :)

The last time I took a weekend off it damn near killed me..... :)

Well, if that's the case, you best keep busy!

Any recommendations for top installer? And the rear cable?

Don't know of any installers.

For the rear cable you can make your own, or use the one in the Kit.

CalAltaDubber wrote:Replacing the top isn't that bad. I did one of mine this spring, and it took me a good week end. The secret is to take your time and be patient. It is not hard. Between Brians instructions and carefully doing the detailed part of the job, I found it to be a rewarding expierence.
Same here, it took me a weekend to do it single-handedly. It was very satisfying to look at it and know I'd done it.

Actually I guess it was more like one and a quarter weekends -- I ran out of time and energy to re-install the back window and just drove it without one for a week. I hadn't cut the hole for the window yet so it was still weathertight.

You are definitely braver than me. The top will be one of the few things we definitely farm out. Hopefull we'll get a good top and a good install. The first time is always the hardest.

That's fine too. It's important to know your limitations as a shadetree mechanic. :) I've been doing this for a while now, so jobs with a lot of steps don't frighten me anymore as long as I feel like I can do all the steps.
