That's a good deal.
Here in Alberta, Insurance companies claim that if the windshield is cracked, but not in the direct view of the driver, a replacment is not necessary, and a wast of money.
There is a way to only provide limited coverage, and replace it only when you can't see out of it any more (usually after three years). The cost is less than the deductable.

Really?! Here in AZ (if not the States), a cracked windshield is considered a safety hazard.
Here in Georgia, unless it is like a Mailbox sticking half in and out of the windshield it isn't considered a safety hazard.....and only cause the Mailbox might fall out and interfere with your steering.
