I tried to today nicest day we have had in 2 weeks. I got halfway down my street and put the top back up, its too cold
I find the wind blockers trap a bubble of heat pretty well, at least once the engine warms up. If there's a crosswind all bets are off, though.
Rain is a bigger problem. If you're going at highway speeds you stay pretty dry but sooner or later you have to stop. Still, somehow there's nothing quite so cool as blasting through a rain shower at 60 mph with the top down and the windshield wipers going...

Yes as matter of fact, I have the Luck o'the Irish...everything I touch turns to fertilizer of the bovine variety. You can lead a user to a link, but you can't make him Click....
The fabric one I built has served me pretty well, although I found I'm going to have to reinforce the pockets for the horizontal spreader. I doubled up the material there, but tension and the wind shifting it around eventually caused the ends of the spreader to wear through the fabric.
Briano1234's design is more convenient because it allows reaching stuff stored in the back seat while the top is up.
