HVAC control lights---86 Cabriolet

Post by stars9texashockey »

New forum member, old Cabriolet owner. I honestly don't remember if the HVAC controls are supposed to be lit or not----mine aren't. Is it just as simple as a bulb(s) behind the face plate or do you have to remove the controls? Thx in advance.

there were 2 styles of fascias\Inbuilt bulb and socketed bulb.

it is probably the bulb.

there are threads on here as to how to replace the in-built;
take the fascia off, and then jumper a bulb to the 2 wires on the connector gray/blue 12v+ brn gnd.
turn on ignition and headlamps jumpered bulb light bad bulb. or check for 12V with dvom...12v bad bulb.
