I'm thinking of buying a Deltran battery tender at to help prolong the battery life especially when not using my car for a couple of weeks. Does it really work? Have you had any issues while using a battery tender? There's also the ctek brand which is more expensive.

Battery tenders work, they are a trickle charger.
They all work the same price is based on Current or charge, and the bells and whistles that it has, as well as where you buy it.
