a/c compressor removal blues

Post by whitecabby »

Hi, I've been off the forum for quite some time. I guess I've just been allowing my problems to exacerbate!

I recently removed my A/C compressor and relocated the alternator.

Since that time my temp gauge and temp dummy light indicate that I am over heating.

The comical thing is that the first time I started up the temp gauge stayed at zero degrees.

I've checked and rechecked grounds that I can find etc. Any thoughts of what I should be looking for??

The Temp gauge sender is on the water outlet flange, make sure the connector is clean and free of corrosion. Cabby-info.com has pictures.

Bad grounds on the cluster pin 2, pin14 black is the 12V in, and or the 10V stabilizer all come to mind.
Is your fuel gauge acting up as well?

Yes as matter of fact, I have the Luck o'the Irish...everything I touch turns to fertilizer of the bovine variety.
