Unfortunatly, it's pretty common to find the AC system screwed with. As the R12 slowly ran out, ppl would dissconnect it so that it didn't turn the ac system on when they tried to defrost the windshield. Since running a low charged ac system can damage the compressor.

I'll try to take some pics tonight when I get home and post them up for ya.

R12 is the original "bad for the environment" coolent used in air conditioning systems untill the mid 90's when most of the world (and finally the US) switched to R-134a.

I didn't get a chance to take pics lastnight, but I should tomorrow as I have half the day off.

it's not digifont, it's a stock 89' cabby with CIS, but I think the emissions system for the most part is the same betweeen the two systems. I have a bently manual and I'll double check it to make sure.

thanks for the photo.....

I really like the dead fried bug on the valve cover......

Although I would really need a close up on the high and low pressure switched behind the right headlight....

A good friend send me the schematic of the A/C but I have a hard time understanding the wire since the one of the switches on my car is brown-brown/white and this combination doesn't exist... But I'll
