Kudo's

Post by Briano1234 »

O'Reilly's autoparts in Metter Ga, came to the rescue of my Daughter as she drove home in todays pouring on I-16.

"The Windshield wiper on the drivers side stopped moving..."
Needless to say I said find a parts store and see if you can borrow a 10mm wrench or socket....
On the wiper arm there is a black plastic cap you pull off, then tighten the 10mm nut on the shaft.

So she found a O'Reilly's and sweet-talked begged batter her eyes..... and they came out to look at the car.
She said they popped the hood,,,, Looked at the clean engine... Then she said...
"All you have to do is to "pop" the cap off of this and tighten the nut."
The parts guy's said, " We will need a 3/8" wrench."....
"No, my dad said 10mm.... " she corrected....
"Oh, its metric.."

Well she was on her way in less than 5 minutes, and arrived safely home...

Kudo's to O'Reilly's I guess that is Karma, as I bought some parts from them Wed.

Well at least they didn't strip that damn threads. An with more and more metric nuts & bolts showing up on domestic cars, it's still bothers me when I see ppl assume that because it has 4 wheels is must be SAE.
