Here is an interesting anecdote actually so funny that I had to share yes and I am cross posting it:

Got this first hand....My Son works there and called me hysterically laughing....(psst he didn't sell it to the user, but saw it happen on his way in from Lunch.)

Ricer Smokes his rear tail lights with Tint in a Can.
Drives in front of a Police Cruiser.
Cruiser pulls him over and uses his Light Saber to measure the Brightness of his Brake lights.
(FAILED comes to mind) Police writes him a 200 dollar ticket, with the Proviso that if he removes the tint with-in 24 hours, they will negate the ticket. Otherwise he will get the ticket and still have to clear the tint.

Ricer goes in to the local "PEPBOYS" and asks for Paint Striper (without telling them what it is to be used for.).

Pepboys sells him Kleen Strip Aircraft Paint Remover.

Ricer applies Said Remover, while out in the parking lot.
Ricer Dissolves paint and Tail light plastic, as well as strips the finish off the lower valance,
Trunk deck, and top of the bumper.

Gee, if he would of told them what he was going to use it for might have been cheaper than new lenses / and a re-paint.

Moral of the Story: Before Tinting, check to make sure that you don't violate your local ordinances.

Hope it made you smile.

Seriously. By the time he pays to have the car fixed, it would've cost him far less if he had just bought the commercially-available smoked lenses to begin with.
