Scirocco spy shots

Post by AbbyCabby »

This came up on the Vortex this morning, so in the interest of spreading the news far and wide here are spy shots of the Scirocco, somewhere in the southwest.

"Somewhere" would be right here in AZ where VW has a test track; however, it looks like they trucked the car to a certain twisty road to test it that day. 8)

"Somewhere" was my attempt at sounding mysterious :) . Anyhow, I think its shaping up to be a good-looking car. Certainly no Scirocco look-alike, but it looks like it will continue the 2+2 sporty VW coupe ideal that the Corrado left open.

Speaking as a former :( Scirocco owner, I'd go for one of these. Just gotta graduate and get a job  .

Saw the pics the other day, though the news I got was that the shots were taken somewhere in Cali, but it's prollie been spending time at the Az test track, hence the Az plates.

If it looks like the concept, it should be a nice addition. Will it be sold here in the US, who's to say?

At the rate of current things, I might as well be a former Scirocco owner myself, damn thing is still sitting in my driveway with no engine. Then again, I've also put in close to 80 hours at work this week. Times like these are when being a salaried worker really sucks.

Ben, good to see ya post. I know what ya mean though. To be perfectly honest, whenever I have been getting a break from work, I've been off riding my new bike as a form of stress relief. Amazing what a few miles of very twisty roads can do for the stress level.

As for death valley, yea, hotter then hell sounds about right. :P
