i love old cars!
cuz you never know whats going to break next
so, we got a LOT of snow and ice here yesterday, about 12" of snow and a good 1/2 of ice and we got most of this while i was at work.
i went out about 45mins before my shift was up to start the caddy to let her warm up and hopefully melt some of the ice, flipped it to defrost, heat on high, fan on high...no problem.
go back in and finish up the night, clock out and go back out to the caddy, everything working fine.
now, at this point it's freezing rain. hitting the caddy and freezing instantly, no problem cuz i have a defroster.... for exactly 1/2 of a mile and my heater fan goes SCREEEECH!!!!! and stops.... i smell burnt motor.... i'm screwed!
it's 1:00am, i have 10 more miles to go before i'm home, it's pouring down freezing rain, the plows haven't been out and the only view of the road i have is through a slit at the bottom of the window 2"x 8" where the heat is slowly rolling up from the vent.
needless to say it took me about an hour to cover that 10 miles and get home.
we are at a level 3 around here today, work is closed so i have today to try and figure out a way to get heat working... wish me luck!

nope. i haven't had good luck in awhile!
i was digging the pig of a MK4 out this morning. had most of the snow out of the way, went to back it out and the damn thing got stuck...right in the middle of the drive way!!!
had the wife jump in and drive while i pushed but no luck, the pig was stuck.
so i dug a little path around the pig-golf, jumped in the caddy, dropped it in reverse and went!!!
god those little MK1s are tanks in the snow!!!!
my wife watched from the window when i was backing the caddy out, she told me she was thinking "yeah right, that little ass truck isn't going to get out"
lol!

Hasn't been a matter of getting past any restrictions, the connection at the training center is wide open. Problem is, my class consists of me and one other guy. So we have been going through all the meterial like wild fire. As it stands, class will start tomorrow at 8:30am and we will be done at 10am rather then 5pm.
What really sucks, is that in my absence at work, it seems that my counterparts did something to the tape library and a laptop and I'll have to go in after class to fix them.
Bad enough they tried to get me in today for some file restores. Lucky for me, I can take care of that form my house
