Cabby Resto Project

Post by RabbidCabby9 »

i am going to start this and see how long i can keep up. i am currently unemployed, so i have time to work on my cabby, post pictures, and figure out the little things without trying to spend any coin.-challenge-i think not!

I tore the carpet out of the cabby day one-(about 2yrs ago) I have had the cabby for almost 3yrs and have made what little progress i can-mainly because of my job(chef). I also drilled holes in the floor to let water/rain through the car. I plan on repairing the floor (not to bad) and dynomatting/rhino lining them. Top is always down-unless it POURS.

I want to make custom door cards out of a nice wood and finish the wood with a nice sealant. I just don't know how the handles, mirror knob, speaker, door handle (interior) and the such will fit or look.

I am also looking for a single headlight grille with silver trim. Old Skool.

Not to mention....i like the stone guards over the wheel wells instead of the clipper kit-can anyone tell me where to buy these.

Lastly...i am going to post a YouTube video of my engine running. I has some squeaks and whistles that need to be fixed
If anyone can chime in and diagnose these noises-it would be greatly appreciated

I'm curious, I wonder if there is any progress on this project?

I can't wait to see how that cabby went from rusty to classy.

It has been a long time since the OP has posted here.

I hope he provides an update.

In the meantime I think I will move this thread to the Build Zone so we can find it easier.
