A good weekend for the Rabbit, new timing belt and tension pulley installed, the old pulley felt like it had dirt in it, would not have lasted much longer.

It's been awhile, weather, going out of town and some other stuff but last weekend I was able to do a little to the Rabbit. I got the 65A alternator switched out with a 95A one. What a pain, trying to align the pulleys, it took 4 hours to finally get it right :banghead: Also replaced the ground from the battery.

Been a while since I have posted. I now have the 90amp alternator on, 4 hours what a pain to change and line up the pulley. Radiator is in, some hoses hopefully will finish the hoses this weekend, if it does not rain then I will be able to start it again.

Still have to replace some wires and clean that all up and make it pretty. But I do have a question. How do I adjust the AC belt! I see no way to adjust the compressor, and since it was over a year ago I do not remember. Here are some pictures of the compressor. Any help will be appreciated

Great day, put on the rest of the hoses, hooked up all of the wires and the it started! Wahoo, been almost a year. Flushed the radiator, realized I put the fan blade on backwards :banghead: and now a freeze plug is leaking, but still a great day!

Great news. The rest will come together quickly as you will be champing at the bit to go for a drive.

True, now if the mosquito's were not so bad I could go mess with it. Bug zapper and fogging is not helping

Ok, so the fan blade is not on backwards, took the fan out and hooked it up to a battery and it blows in the correct direction. Bad news is the motor is shot, the blade wobbles all over the place. Time for a new fan motor.

Stupid freeze plugs, even tried Brians freezing it trick but still could not bang it in. Only optionleft is to drop the exhaust so I have room to swing a hammer. Since I am doing that I will replace all three and not just the one that was leaking
