I'll see you guys there, but as usual I won't be able to show. We do however plan on bringing the Cabby up for it instead of the GLI.

Only 26 days to go..... I hope I can pry my car away from children long enough for me to work on it.

Easy to do Brian, since you are the mechanical wizzard around your house you can baffel the kids with BS. Tell them the left Gezinta is shot and you need to replace it. It should take about a month for the parts to come in so they can't have it for a while.

Put the car in the garage and do your thing to get it ready for the show.

Com BAP week end... Well that's the test drive.

Then all you need to do is bribe the judge better this year and come home with the hardware. :D

Well, Brian stands a good chance this year. Word has it that Juan won't be coming this year possibly and if I get the rocco running, well, that means crabby cabby will be staying at home. This doesn't mean that Brian wins by default, but it does remove 2 of the consistant winners every year. I honestly agree that Nicks, Cristines and Juan's cars have won their fair share (Please don't let Cristine see this any time soon or I'll be skinned alive  ). In mine & cristines case, we just pay for the cool parking spot and the company of really cool friends.

Which it looks like we have a new cooking set and I guess there will be a grill coming with us this year. So we should be able to whip up some cool eats. I'll be sure to post up if we get the grill so anyone making the show can bring their own chow and feel free to use the grill.

Well we have reservations at Holiday Inn, for Friday and Saturday, so we should be up that way late Friday, and my entry fee is paid, so I think we are coming to the event.

Soooooo as it stands now we are thinking we will attend I don't have any out of town distractions scheduled for stopping by.....

Thats great Brian. I've been slaving away on the rocco for the last week trying to get as much done as I can. Would prollie go a lot fast if I would quit going "hey, I could replace that (trip to the PC and more parts ordered)". I think by the time I'm done, the only thing that won't be replaced on the car will be the body and the interior. :banghead:

Well, seems that as of today Kellie will not be coming to the show in her Jetta wagon. I'll also tell you that it won't even be a Volkswagen. Had VW produced an affordable, economical vehicle that suited the needs of our growing family sometime in the past 10 years, we would be driving one of those... (but they didn't, so she's not)

So did ya get the yuppie porsche cayenne?

I can totally understand where you are coming from on that one. The Und-Town & Country that VW has molested into it's own is not what they should have been bothering with, but anyway.

Can't wait to see what kind of toy ya have not.

Well hopefully we'll be there in the Cabby; however, if the show was this weekend we'd be in the Rocco. Cabby needs exhaust installed and the output seals in the tranny changed before we can bring it to B-a-P this year. I've got the pipes for the exhaust and the tranny seals are coming on Monday just have to have some time to fix it. I also have to get the GLI going again(no spark after changing the valve cover). So much work to do so little time.

Can't wait to catch up with everyone at B-a-P though. Looks like I'll be sleeping in the Vanagonagon since there's no way I can get the interior back in the Westy in time to get towed over.

Cool, but not very reliable. I still don't understand why VW didn't stick an inline gas engine in it. The Audi I-5 would have made a great van engine. Even the 1.8L I-4 would have been better than that plumber's nightmare boxer they put in there.

It's still the best-handling van I've ever driven, though.
