Plaid/Stripped Seat Covers

Post by weeees5 »

Where can I find seat covers like this? I found web sites but they all are solid colors, at least I think they are. They only have thumb nails of samples.

I usually see the interiors can have a Tweed or Velour insert, that is the Middle piece but I have never seen the Stripped.
I suppose you can email TMT or TMI to see if they can do it.

Yes as matter of fact, I have the Luck o'the Irish...everything I touch turns to fertilizer of the bovine variety.

That's all I ever see too. That's why I was really curious as to where I could get the stripe ones.

The interior you show in your post is OEM from 1986-1987. It has long been NLA from VW and you will not find it new (you'll have to source that specific interior from a junked '86-'87 Best Seller Cabriolet). Some OEM seat covers are available from VW's Classicparts in Germany, but there's not many to choose from; and those that are there, as I recall, are from the '90s era. There is a site out there with a bunch of OEM fabric (just the fabric, not the whole cover); if I can find it, I'll post it up. More than likely you'll probably have to consult with a local auto upholstery shop.
