drippy foot

Post by bfrey003 »

ok, so when it rains really hard sometimes i'll get water dripping on my foot at gas pedal. Could this be caused by damage to the plastic rain guard thing under hood? Where can i get/make a replacement?

Yes, it can also be plugged rain drains, and or rust around the windshield.
They are made of that uber rare unobtanium. You can find them occasionally listed on Ebay, and thesamba.com

1stvwparts.com used to have it listed.

Back when these were still available through the dealer, the non-A/C (shorter version) was $50. So, $75 today for the A/C version is a deal.

Just a side note, having a rain diverter, and stopping drippy water is two separate issues.

Clean rain drains, and a debris shield on the hood vent slots are the other two pieces of the puzzle.
