seat swap

Post by ravenfox »

I have a '92 cabby what seats from other cars can I swap with those? I have the white leather ones now, but they do not sit "right". The passengers one stays in a leaned back positioned at a bad angle. Also its uncomfortable as hell. Not looking to replace the back only the two fronts.

Thanks

Scirocco seats are pretty mucha direct replacement. 16v rocco seats are the prefered ones as they have adjustable height an the bolsters are larger. With modification, I think Jettal GLI seats will fit. Those are the actual seats made by Recaro for the Jetta.

Outside of that, most A1 chasis seats should work, some may require a tad a modifiaction.

Look a the adjuster knobs they strip and when you spin it it turns and turns but goes no where.

Also there may be a problem with the butt adjuster handle...

I took my 86 cabby to a guy that wants to restore my seats because my little white clips fell out he wants me to buy a new clip and something better to last longer is there anything better than the white plastic clips?
