HVAC gremlin

Ok, Calimus got the a/c working pretty nice in the Cabby. But there is one gremlin we are scratching our heads about.

The center vents stops blowing when I am accelerating at highway speeds. It doesnt happen when I am accelerating on city streets and such. What is the wacky link between throttle and vents?

vacuum leak somewhere. check your vac lines and reservoir for cracks.

Thats what I'm figuring as well. Problem is, it's gotta be behind the dash as I replaced every vac line in the engine bay when I swaped the motor out. An I really don't want to open up that dash again any time soon.

However, I noiced it did this the day we bought it and it seems to only happen when the ac is on, haven't tried it with heat yet.

It does the same with the heat, trust me and my formerly shivering self.

anybody got a small child they would like to rent to me for about 2 hours. Basicly all I want to do is shove them up under the dash of my wifes car so they can crawl around and find the vac leak.

You probably already found this one, but there is a vacuum line on the right side under the plastic cowl protector. It gave me major fits with my heating system and would do the same for A/C too.
