One night's work

How's this for a night, start with polishing and rebuilding a progressive two bbl carb. for a race truck that a friend of mine runs at Unity raceway, start that about 7:30 pm last night, finish around 12:30. Bring the cabby in and replace the left axle and rotate the left wheels to try to find another noise, done with that around 1:15 am. Bring the 94 Jetta in and remove all four wheels and install new tires (Kumho's from Sears for $33.00 each) then install 2 new horns and both motor mounts, finish up around 4:45 am. I'm beat.

My wife does not share your opinion unfortunately, not because she missed my companionship or anything, our bedroom is above the garage. And yes, I am a firm believer in air tools.

Well, since it's usually the wifes car that I'm working on that late at night, it's like. She either helps do the work (which she usually does, even if it's just to be the tool bitch) or she can deal with the noise because I don't want to deal with the noise of "I can't drive my f'n car again".

Either way, we usually don't have any problems when it comes to late night adventures into "how the hell do I fix this?"
