Frustration

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Frustration

Post by CalAltaDubber »

Well, I had the Posh Bunny out this week end when I noticed that one of the centre caps missing from the wheels. I figure some jerk stole it while I was in the BORG.

Well I had a set for BBS wheels so no real big deal.

Later I thought I would look on e-Bay to see it there were any available. Yup, found a set with no bids. So I offered $10. and the window says I am the first bidder with a bid of 49 cents and there was 26 minutes left in the auction.

I won, now I have a replacment set just like the one that was stolen on the way.

Yes car thief's are a little lower than a politician in my book, both are pond scum.

I put them as that white crust at the corner of your mouth, but pond scum is right up there too.

Sucks Phil, but glad you now have a spare set.

While I hate thieves with a passion, I do have to say, based on experience :x , that the center cap could've popped out while you were driving the car. Happened to mine... twice; once while I don't know where, and the other I watched rolling down the freeway interchange in my mirror. :( I, too, bought a full set, but brand new ones (the roundels that came with my RZ's were well used and I didn't want to buy more used ones fearing they'd fall out as well; I wanted new so that they'd fit tightly in the caps, and they do!).

Sucks, though, either way. Good to hear you got a replacement set for cheap!

It turns out that it is quite easy to find caps for the RAs I have. The centre caps VW uses for all the alloy MK IV wheels are the same size. :)
