Back on the road

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Back on the road

Post by Tuna Salad »

Well as some of you may know, I was in a accident with my Cabrio last May. Almost lost all hope in repairing her, but luckily enough I had all the parts I needed to get her road worthy again. So over the past two or three weeks, my roommate Mike (GLi401) and I replaced the rear beam and swapped over the brake setup, threw on the Corrado Speedline winter wheels (The Porsche Twists won't fit now that the rear quarter is push in a bit and one has a crack in it from the impact), remounted the rear muffler, threw in a new battery and some spark plugs, and we were good to go.

I should have her in for body work within the next month or two I hope, still need to arrange that with my body guy. But in the end, it should end up with a full respray and the rear quarter repaired, with the possibility of getting some textured top euro bumpers (if I'm not broke and have some money to toss around).

Well I just wanted to give a full update. Got a couple of new craptastic camera phone videos to throw up here, the links will be at the bottom. Hope to see you all at the New England Dustoff and/or Waterfest
