Have you ever propped open your hood, to do some work and bumped the
support rod and have the hood come crashing down on you. Or on a windy day have the hood lift off the rod?
Take a Wire-tie, and bend it twice on the end about 2 inches apart.
Insert it in the hole of the hood, and feed it to the next one.
Place your hood rod in the socket and now tie-wrap that hood in place. It will not come out of the socket to surprise you at all.
