Yeah, I saw your section on cardomain right after I picked up my '82 in sept. All i can say, is right on. Those carbs are monsters. Are you going to dyno test it? Don't think I've seen/heard of dual carbs on a Rabbit, sounds mean. I bet it'll sound sweet. Keep up the fine work!

Updates:
It's been a long cold winter and I haven't spent near as much time working on Taz as I should have. In my defense, it seems that every time I do, it's one step forward and two back......this project has become a LOT bigger than I anticipated. I cut the raintray out to get better access to the carbs when they were installed and then once I got everything in place I realized I'm going to have to modify the firewall or I'll have to remove the carbs to change the airfilters.....not a good situation. On a brighter note, I picked up a Lincoln Electric weldpak 100 for $200 (brand new). Right place, right time....gotta love it.
Pics for enjoyment, it's gonna look awesome this summer.

Re: next summer....a sneak peek
Well you should of placed another 90 or two to the intake then the carbs could be sitting in the middle of your hood getting ram air..
nice

Re: next summer....a sneak peek
Spent about 5 hours wiring and such today, got pretty much all the MSD stuff installed and wired. Finished off some odds and ends......starting to look like we'll be back on the road by May after all.
even found some brass colored caps (they might actually even be brass, not sure..lol) for the CIS injectors. I used the old injectors to plug the CIS holes in the head as they are sure to seal at least.
The ignition stuff, MSD 6ALN + timing computer

Yeah, I'm getting a little antsy to hear it myself There's still lot's of work to do, but it's coming along nicely.......
Managed to rough in the new fuel pressure gauge today, I know, I know....it doesn't match the other gauge. Anyone got a nice autometer phantom they want to trade for a sportcomp AFR?
