Chrome handles

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Chrome handles

Post by Caddycabby »

I bought 2 chrome handles off a guy and two metal ones. He said if I sanded and polished the metal one they would be real shiny like chrome. (1)Is this true? (2) how do I get rid of the spots on the chrome ones? (3) would it work to send the metal ones off to be chromed (4)do I have to sand the paint off first or is there some kind of solution I can dip it in?
Thanks,

I have had good luck with sos-pads to remove pits and rust off of chrome, then use a good wax.

Yes you can polish the metal ones to shine like chrome.

Yes you can send the metals ones off to be chromed.

sweet, I'll probably send them away, do you think I'll have to remove the paint first?
