Mmmmmmmmmm.... progress.....

heres the pics of the goodies i got last weekend.

karmann door sills.

super nice all black door panels to complete my black interior , they just need a good cleaning.

ebrake cover with cool metal ring, now i need some sort of handle for it. he has the matching shift boot but can't find it right now.

german badges!!!!!
2 for the cab and 1 for the caddy.

and here is the progress part
pass side flare is done.... now for the other side.

if all goes well it should be on the road by this sunday

A tip from a friend of mine who had an old Dasher -- if you varnish the exposed back sides of those paperboard door panels they'll stand up to moisture a lot better.

No progress on my end, I haven't touched my rocco in close to 3 weeks, work has been a bitch. However, I'll be paying Brian a visit tomorro as Cristines rocco needs a fuel pump and Dr. Brian has the cure.

well, the temp dropped and it rained all day so i didn't get to work on the cab.
but i did make something

ok, so the guy that had this

thinks he got rid of the shift boot and gave up looking for it so i started looking around at how i could make one.

heres the langford piece

pretty simple, a metal ring...easy!

heres what we are trying to copy...i love TT's

and heres what i came up with. it's not all the way done yet, i still need to sand it smoother and need to find some allen head bolts but ya get the idea.

this was just a test fit on a spare console.

a cookie to the first person to figure what the metal ring is

heres the console a little further along...still not done tho.

can't seem to find any SS allen head bolts around here. i'm going to hit up a few more hardware stores before work tomorrow.

and yes, i did give up on this console concept.

could never get it to fit the way i wanted so i scrapped it.
