disconnected wire

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

disconnected wire

Post by theonlychuck »

hey, i found a wire that's not connected to anything and i'm trying to figure out where it goes, it's on a plug near the alt, here's a couple pics, hopefully you guys can tell me where it's suppose to go, it's the orange wire connected to that plug with the green wire, thanks in advance for any help =]

I don't have that same wire, but the green wire goes to the ac clutch and hte brown one (orange) go to a nut on the case of the alternator.

Good rule of thumb for VW

brown = ground
91 Cabriolet, red w/white
86 Cabriolet white/white (oldest daughter)
97 Golf, black (youngest daughter)
98 Beetle, red
94 Cabrio, dark green (oldest son)
