13x8......what do you think?

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

13x8......what do you think?

Post by VWnoob »

Whatchy'all think about these?

http://www.rotawheel.com/rb.htm

They are cheap too!!!!
I am thinking about getting them with some Sumitomo HTR 200 175/50R13's.
The wheel runs for about $93 each and the tire for $42 each.

Rota's are always a nice choice
very slick

but
i'm not a fan of the stretched look
mostly because it doesn't look good
and sucks for performance

I'd rock them. I like the look of the stretched tires.

Yea, I don't mind a little stretch, but I don't like it when it doesn't leave any sidewall at all to protect the rim.

maybe "euro", but you're not in europe

as i mentioned, i'm more of a "performance guy" than a "looks guy". if I can't can't come into the curves double-plus-ten because of the wheel/tire combo i have, then i'm looking for a new combo.

or at least replacing the 175s (which are narrower than stock) with some 215/50-13

Not everybody builds their car to the same priorities (thankfully, or the scene would be awfully boring).

you're on your own on this one....

the only reason i run such an aggressive stretch is cause my offset is so aggressive, i'd have to put my car up to stock height if i didnt stretch.

and i dont care what PDX says, they do hold up in the twisties, ask me how i know :D
