Website problems?

Post by Thicketmatt »

It's probably just me, but for the last several weeks I've been having trouble connecting to the site. It takes forever to load and login. I'm using Safari and when this happens I'm not having trouble getting other sites to load quickly. It's intermittent but happens more often than not. I love the site but frequently find myself going over to the Vortex because I can't get TRF to load. Just wanted to mention in case there are issues with the hosting.
Best regards, Matt

Thanks for the heads up Matt. Are you using safari from a mobile device or from an iMac/Mac book pro? I've seen some slowness over the last few days but only from mobile. Either way its so me thing I need to look into but it helps to know.

OK, so that narrows things down to mobile slowness. Oddly enough, tonight I'm having no issues from iOS or android. Makes testing a real pain.

Well, I've tested a few times today on PC's, tablets and phones and haven't had a problem. I can see this is going to be an irritating issue. Sorry for the trouble folks, I'll continue to try and track it down.

Wish I could take credit for the speed increase. I have a feeling I know whats going on, but I'll have to get into that at another time.

When it comes to Corporate networks and their filtering/blocking of keywords and sites, I never really worry about it. Home users, yea, that I try to trouble shoot for folks. But yea, it's been nice & fast the last few days. I might be missing for a bit as my job is about to royally duck over my life. Yup, that's right, I dropped an F-bomb. About to lose 2 ppl from my team, which leaves me with myself and one other to support 10k users until we replace the two wastes of skin we are losing. So I imagine I'll be very quiet through the Holidays and maybe till the end of Jan. If we can get the right ppl in here (Or I find a better place to work) then I can get back up in here and get things taken care of.

William,

As of late I have had issues getting in to the web site, it will either give me a 404, or time out.
When it does get me to you after about 40 seconds or so, it brings me to the login page.

I have narrowed it a wee bit.
issues on Win8.1 ie:11.0.9
Issues some times on Firefox again on win8.1

If I can connect via firefox, then ie will work on win8.
Reset all defaults to factory.
cleared all cookies, it seems to be really random, and that is about all I have found out so-far.

Same issues on Win7 ie 10, and 11.

No issues on mac chrome, safari, or firefox.
