Midwest Massiv - June 26-27, 2004

Post by 1lowcab »

The staff of last year's mk3 Massiv and myself have been collaborating and planning this new event for the past 4 months or so. Some of you may have heard a bit about it already, some not, so here's the scoop...

The event date will be June 26-27, 2004.

Here is a rundown of the tentative details thus far:

Location: The Continent (I-71 and 161)
Hotels: 900+ rooms within walking distance of the showfield

Friday
We will be working toward reserving a lane at National Trail for any groups who want to go drag racing

Saturday
10am-1pm - Timed road rally (Dub Dash style) ending at Auto Assets in Powell
1pm-6pm - BBQ and Hardcore dyno shootout at Auto Assets with cash prizes to the winners. Winner takes all in limited fields of 6 cylinder FI, 6 cylinder NA, 4 cylinder FI and 4 cylinder NA.
6pm-? - Party at the Continent with beer tents, live bands, etc

Sunday
9am-3pm - Organized VW/Audi show field
3pm-4pm - Awards

The event will be covered by Performance VW and Euro Tuner magazines with other coverage in the works.

This is going to be a first class event with the support of many Dub-based groups and businesses in the surrounding areas.

Too bad I don't think we could pull off two trips to Ohio in the same month. We should be up in the Cincy/Wilmington area June 4-6 for the Scirocco.org GTG.

Damn shame as that sounds like a hell of a show. Lowcab, you will have to go and represent the TRF and be the official photographer. Kuklaki can then take the photo's and any info about them that you can get and work it into it's own page on the site. That is if she ever gett's her butt back in gear to finish the rest of the site (love ya hunnie  ).

And now I think I'm going to see if there is a way I can hide from her for a while since we work in the same building. Good thing is, I have internet access at work, and well, most of the time she doesn't.

Mine has never been show ready, but I'll slap it in there anyway just to get some rocco representation. Down here rocco's are scarce. So you gotta represent where ya can. 8)

Kamei Grill Spoilers are TUV approved for speeds upto 110 miles an hour...
and they mean it
was driving my friends 91 Golf 1.8T... after a few sprited sprints to the 150mph range the spoiler went flying in pieces... screws still in place

Well, if she ever manages to get upto 150mph in this car, then I'm gonna have to ask her where the found a JATO rocket to strap to the car.

I can only see where she might get the oppertunity to cross the 105mph mark a few times a year and that would only be if she were trying to keep up with me in the rocco and I'd have to be in a hell of a hurry.

I do take the rocco to 110~115 at least once a month to help blow out any carbon that might have built up in the engine/exhaust (as I have things running a bit rich). But then it's only for short spurts since I normally run between 80~95 on the highway everyday and get 29~31mpg doing it.
