Pushed in bumpers...

Post by VWnoob »

Here are a few pics of my bumper after I completed the push-in mod.
Sorry but I forgot the camera during the process, but if you read my post about what happened when I did it, then Im glad that I didnt use my camera.

The pics are kind of large, so here are links.

Although I like the look of the pushed in bumpers I just scored a pair of Euro bumpers for my Cabby. I get them in a week or two. I'll post pics when I get them.

Hey Mike, where did you get them? and if you mind, what did they set you back? I am looking to get some.

I did this mod when I had my Rocco and let me guess once you drilled into the bumper shock absorber and gave it a good kick the oil shot every where right? Not that I know this from experience or anything.

Hey guys, I actually have better pics.
When I went to put the self tapping screws into the bumper shock, 1 week later, I noticed that it can go in a lil more.
I took a hammer and banged the crap out of it. No damage, thank God.

But here is the actual finished product. The self tapping screws are in and it aint coming out for nothing.

No gap, i like the looks of it. I think that if I don't get Euro bumpers for the rocco I may try to snag another US bump set and hack them as a much cheaper knock-off.
