As far as my project goes I am still tinkering underneath on the gas lines, trying to fit them in the orig spot with the motor in is a PITA!!! I also have to change the steering shaft boots because of the last owner not taking pride in his work and using rubber hose from the filter all the way back to the tank. What a mess he made. I am still recovering the last seat. I also sandblasted my valve cover, timing cover and a bunch of brackets painted them with high heat primer and then with high heat flame Red. I have to be real stingy with my $$$ my contract at work expires this friday, so I could be on the street!!! Once it is over I will jump back in. On a more positive note I think I scored a tripple white 89 cabby for parts!! I have not seen it yet but I'm told it was hit on the drivers rear and the rear axle is broke. I only want the fenders and maybe the doors anyway. But I will pick at it. We will see after the contract meeting Sunday. Should I get the parts car I will post here any leftovers I think useable. Oh I'm 99% sure I also just scored a set of 15" Estorils i'm gonna get polished up. Last bout it for now!!

My bad!! I didn't mean my own individual contract I meant the contract between the company I work for and the Union!! I work at Siemens formerly Westinghouse, we build Gas Turbines. I was told Friday they had a tentative agreement worked out. I will find out tomorrow (Sunday) at our union meeting if we accept (I hope so). So if any of you fellows work in the Power Generation bus and live where the only snow you see is in your freezer, and your lookin for a helper I'm your guy!!!! :D

I don't really have a choice, if you don't join the union you can't work at this place. There are not many places here that deal with Turbines so I am kinda limited!!! I have been here 15years and from me eyes the Union is there to save and protect the useless lazy pricks, pardon my english. It is the same guys all the time getting in trouble and being protected. But we did sign the contract today so all is back to normal......................Wooo hoooo.....

The phone company here...Southwestern Bell is a union company... when they go on strike, they strike for days.. what if service goes out... Oh Well!! Unions... Posh! but thats just my opinion.. To each his own.. some have a choice, some dont.. it sucks if you dont!

My Dad worked for Westinghouse for about 35 years in the Sturtevant division in Hyde Park, Ma. He designed/drafted large fans for power plants and then they sold out, he lost a lot of pension/holiday/personal time and then they moved the whole thing to New York, didn't ask him to go and the Union just let it fly. Not right in my opinion.
