Nice find. Yup there are lots of things you can do to a Cabby.

What have you got in mind?

Right now, not much other than to lower it a tad and I'm looking for a diesel to swap into it. I have a line on a 1600 TD so if that pans out, I know what I'll be doing this winter. I brew my own biodiesel so it'll run for cheap. :)

I just finished the front struts and lowering springs. They're Sachs, I need to get the correct inserts since the one I got are wrong and the place I got them from it outta business. :( Now I'm off to fix the blower motor. DOUBLE :(

For $500 she is a beaut! Hey....another bio-diesel project. We used to have a member or two on here that did that, but I havent seen any recent posts. I hand the torch off to you as a welcome gift from TRF. You get the honors of doing a bio-diesel conversion thread all your own :D :D :D

I thought the same about here, than I really went looking.

Mind you I know I paid $1000 for my project, but there was no real bad rust.

I does have some rust aroung the rear wheel mouldings, that will be addressed this winter. I figure, I'll learn to do bodywork on the $500 car before I go playing bodyshop on my Golf TDI. Our dog Benny loves his bunny, lol!! Here's a pic
