While it's not offical, I like to think of the Digifart cabby's as MKII's, kinda like the way 83-88 rocco's are seen as MKII's.

Same chasis, slightly different body, but everything else was the same. Well, for the 8v's anyway.

Cabby's were slightly opposite. Same chasis, same body, somewhat different motor, much better FI and some different wiring to boot.

*shrug* I know it's not right, but it's just a point of view. :P

IMHO, the Mk2 'rocco has a completely different body than the Mk1, so "Mk2" is pretty appropriate for them. Since the Cabs had the same exact body for 14 years (bolt on body kit doesn't count as part of the body), Mk1 is still fitting, even for the Clipper-era Cabs; that's why the Brits simply call 'em "Mk1 Clipper"s.

I think that the DIGI-farts rock........ MK1 all the way, is it my fault that they finally got the injection right in 90..... :)

But then again, I like all Mk1's save for the CIS, and CIS-e. CIS is from the Devil, the definite spawn of Satan.

But then again I thought that about most of my cars from time-to-time.

Heck. Thems is fightin' words

The CIS on my Topless Bunny has been just fine for the 20 years I've owned the car.

As for the Project Cabby, Except for some past owner (moron) cutting off and disposing of the electric connector for the Cold Start Valve. Runs fine.

Most folks around here don't call it Digi-F*$# for nothing.

Far off topic?

Post by tolusina »

See how bad CIS is? It's able to take a thread about an innocent little white Cabrio that's totally oblivious to all things CIS and degenerate it totally!

Anyway, more CIS goodness, A shot I took the other day just because I have zero interest in such things, it's underhood on an '87 Silver Spur, 412 Cu in V8

But will it fit in the MK III that is in the start of the thread?

Now we are really going off topic!
