Cute kitty, and down with tree's. Well, from now on, don't put them down on the VW's.

Sucks, cause you are going to have a turbo'd car before I will. But thats ok. While it won't be turbo'd by this June cor the anual Ohio Rocco meet, it should be ready for the 08' GTG. Then maybe we can pit turbo against Turbo

At the very least, you will prollie have the better setup for reliability and ease to work on. Mine will prollie end up more complicated then the space suttle and be about as reliable. :P

i don't think a turbo 8V would stand a chance in hell against a 16VT!!
i've seen to many vids of 16VTs smoking supras and putting down crazy HP.
i want to see how far i can push this 8V. i'm going to start with CIS and this tiny turbo i have and when i reach it's limits i'm want to switch to megasquirt, GT30R turbo, and a 2L block... but that wont be for a long while.

Ok, get that bucket turbo'd by the begining of June and we'll se well it does against my NA rocco. You should at least be putting down close to what I'll be developing (if not a tad more).

If all goes well by June, the rocco will have a

2.0 16v
Image

Autotech 16 sport cams
Image

running Digi 1
Image

Here's a few other goodies I've picked up for all of this

16v Fuel Rail
Image

Random parts
Image

Things not shown:
TT cat back w/dynomax muffler - used
Windage tray
All new motor mounts

Things still on the list to get:
G60 fuel injectors
Lower injector seats
G60 Fuel Pressure Regulator
Adjustable timing gear
H&R coil overs
Water pump

So I'm almost there. Actuall, I plan on starting the whole project first weekend of Feb which is after I get back from a business trip to Orlando FL. There is a laundy list of things to do to the engine bay and such before I even start putting any of that stuff in the car. I figure by late March, early April I should have the car running. That gives me whatever is left of April and May to get the car tuned properly.

Nope, tranny will be a stock 2Y w/300k miles on it. Granted, it's getting a mild refresher/cleanup and a new clutch, but thats it.

I figure, in total, I might be pushing around 150+/-. Over all not to bad for what the car weighs.

yeah, but with those cams it should have a hell of a top end. my only chance is to get out of the hole early, get some distance and keep it.
have you taken any weight out of the car? i may show up with only a drivers seat and nothing else!!!!!! :D

The only weight reduction I've done is removing the stock US bumpers and adding the super lightweight Euro bumpers. Basicly a savings of 100lbs. Aside from that, my fat ass easily screws over the weight savings.

So it dun matter. Also, I'm tuning for more low/midrange, I don't need the top end down here, I'll get killed. Too many curvy roads. I'll take some pics sometime and give you an idea.
