I am going to try. I talked to the adjuster today-he doesnt have an offer for me yet because I have to get him receipts for all of the recent work I've done-new top, new tires, alignment, etc. They can consider all of that in the offer.

This is my first time doing this, what he said about buying it back is that there are sales once a week. The potential buyers place bids on the wrecks and the top bid is what I would have a chance to buy it back for. If I am not interested than the bidder gets the car. I can only hope that they just see it as a wrecked old car. I dunno though, because everyone has commented on how nice she looked (or must have looked before).

I really do want her for the parts. i figure I can re-coup some losses by parting her out-and I'd hate to lose the new speakers, momo shift knob, good snowflakes, strut tie bar, etc. Plus I already have some people who are wanting parts. The engine and tranny are still good, interior was in great shape, etc. If I get her back, I'll be pimping parts here on TRF. At least parts of her will live on.

i'v been through this 2 times, what i did was take everything i wanted to keep off the car before the adjuster got there, when i lost my 83 gti i even took the snowflake rims off and put some junkyard rims on it

well, if you do buy it back send me some pics of the momo shift knob, i might want it..... that way you know it's going to a good home

naw, pics arn't up anymore. I'm going to be putting a phot gallery back up sometime soon, once It's up, I'm sure I'll have the dead bunny on it.
