Curious about color.

Post by bfrey003 »

The top of my engine is red, like some i've seen in other's pictures. However, my plastic belt cover next to the engine is black yet i've seen some that are red too. Is the actual plastic red or has it just been painted?

if it's been painted, can i just spray paint mine or is there a special kind of paint that will handle the temperature, grease, and oil?

thanks!

The original color is Black.
You have to clean it well to get all the grease off of it, and if you have the plastic one use Fusion by krylon.
