Oil pan gasket question

Post by TheDon »

Howdy, good people. I just got me one of those fancy rubber oil pan gaskets, like you always hear the movie stars talking about. I was just wondering if I should use any sort of sealant on it, or if, because of the rubber material, it's completely unnecessary.

Thanks if you reply. Go to Hell if you don't.

^joking, so's not to ruffle any feathers...

About the "Go to Hell" part, anyway. The "Thanks" would actually be sincere, and requires no disclaimer.

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep it in mind, should I ever manage to break the pan loose. :banghead:
