New Update. I have a job Interview on Monday the 17th. Really hoping this works out as it will get me into technologies that I'm really wanting to work with. Not to mention, It certainly wouldn't be bad to pick up a job after only being unemployed for 2 weeks. I'm running out of the simple things to do around the house already. Everything else costs some money.

Well, I figured it's about time to update this downer of a thread with some good info.

As it stands right now, as soon as the background check comes back clean (which It will) I will be re-employed. An whats better, I'll be a state employee. An whats better than that? This is where some of you (Brian Excluded) might really hate me, my commute to work is going to be all of 4 miles. I will be the new Systems Support Specialist (Fancy speak for network/server admin) at Georgia Highlands College - Cartersville Campus.

So far it really looks like I'm going to like it there. My interview was on Wed @ 9am where I found I was one of 8 folks they were looking at. At 6pm the same day, I got the call offering me the job. So, finally some good luck. With the money I will be saving from not driving 60 miles a day, I think it's safe to day that Brian will be getting a visit from the Crabby Cabby once the temps come down just a bit.

A big thanks to all of you that put out some good vibes and such. Every little bit helped and I think this will be the start of some much better times around the TRF Compound.

Excellent news, William! 8)

And there's nothing wrong with being a government employee; in fact, it's the best route to take, financially-speaking... unless said government runs out of money. :x

Thx everyone. Looks like everything is on a roll. My start day is the 9th. Will be nice to have a place to go a daily basis again. Not to mention the income so I can start putting the wrench back to some of these cars I have sitting around here.
