If those seat bolsters aren't torn, then they do clean up rather well. Ne bolsters can be bought from VW heritage in the uk as well as mk1autohaus.com

Re: Another A/C Delete Question
Yep that may work fine. The Pulley may still be an issue, but you can get pulleys from TOYWAGEN, and some one posted a pulley that was off a gm/ford? that had the proper width/ shaft hole and was only less than 20 dollars...

Re: Another A/C Delete Question
I know that the York Compressor used shims on the Crank pulley to adjust the tension of the belt. And I have seen folks use the bracket off the block of a newer style engine ie: 85 or so cabby that is at the top of the engine to mount the alternator too, as well as others who have Cut down the older...

Re: Compelled to Upgrade the Radiator
Napaonline used to sell those, but they had an extra spout that had to be capped or closed, and the price was reasonable.

Re: Compelled to Upgrade the Radiator
The coolant return line to which you are referring to is the steel pipe that runs from the heater by-pass hose on the waterpump to the heater valve and the expansion tank connects to it as well.

Helpful Brake Hint.
T'was the day before Christmas, and low and behold I lost a wheel Cylinder... No worries I had a spare. Getting it off took a little creative effort, as one of the Allen bolts Stripped. Remove the backing plate, left-handed drill bit and it's out. Run to my Favorite Hardware store to get a few, and ...

Re: Wiring question - using a different gauge wire and one fuse box question
Depends on what current track you are in. 16 is used for most Dash wiring, where as Cigarette Lighter is 14, 16, 18, are for most things, but high current is heavier gauge. Kammy at www.cabby-info.com has the conversion for the metric over SAE as in 1.5 to what.
