Thanks. They are twins actually. Both are 87' MkII's. Hers is the shiny red/white/grey automatic one. Mine was originally red/white/white with a 5 speed. The white interior was trashed beyond help, so the interior is from a MkII Scirocco. And the bumpers are also polished aluminum. They're just pain...

A thread like this will soooo many variations. I use Mahle filters and 20/50 Redline on DubChick's as it's the baby and gets all the best. Last summer it got fresh bearings, pump and rings. Did the head while I was at it, but I messed up on the shims and it's got some valvetrain noise... The light i...

Welcome! I must say I'm envious of the widespread enthusiasm over on your side of the pond. I've read the UK's VW magazine a number of times and it kills me of all the MK1/2 goodies you have over there. Your bumper covers are very nice. Understated. Not like the "overdone" clippers here. T...

Got ours. Thanks! The DubChick is giggling that they're sooo cute. Rear window has been designated.

Wasn't a big deal. It's been too damn cold to be applying stickers anyway! :D

Seems us Wabbit owners are pack rats.... I've got an '82 Scirocco that has "most" of it's parts avaialble. 1.7 8V less CIS, Knackered 5 speed. Interior is stripped. No exhaust. There's some other misc. stuff missing, but I can't recall at this time. Anybody need anything? Just give m...

What are those? I like the offset. Old guys like me can never shake off the look a deep dish lip can give instead of these new rims that are flush with the tires. Never did it for me, but options are limited. Even my Porsche has the damn flush trashcan rims.

Oh, and I like the VW centercap retrofit!

What's that William?! I offer up a chance to resurect a Scirocco and you turn me away?!?!?! I promise I wouldn't have told Christine!:D You caught me in a pity party there. What I really need to do is strip her down and do the body right, but like I said I'm not a bodywork kinda guy. I can f...

Project "Mold Spore"...or are they Dust "Bunn

Sorry for the pun... We had such nice weather Friday I decided to do a little cleaning and went into the trunk for some supplies. Hadn't been in there in a while and imagine my shock when I saw stalagmites and stalagtities of MOLD growing in there! BIG GIANT clumps of fluffy grey stuf...

 Oh great. One more variable to contenet with... Sorry to hijack in here, but I've been tearing my hair out (and I ain't got much!) with the DubChick's slush-o-matic. I was convinced that it had to do with a fuel pump. Replaced that and no dice. Smelled gas while I was checking out the extern...
