We just replaced the passenger Axle on my bud's 92 GTI before we left on vacation. I got him a complete axle assembly for $79 from the local parts store (I get a discount). He called VW just for smiles to see what they wanted.............

$1000

I get around 600 KMs out of a 40L tank on the highway....and that's cruising at 130 + (KM/H). Strangely enough, I get better mileage cruising at 130 than I do at 110.

Number 1, dump the cheapo filter, they are incredibly hard on your oil pump. At the very least, go and get an OEM oil filter for it. I would also highly recommend finding a local Amsoil dealer and purchasing an oil filter from them, their performance filters are excellent. As for the oil grade, I pr...

Turn your speakers up for this one, one of the best audio captures for Taz's lopey idle I've gotten. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g285/speedtek/th_tazidle.jpg A nice clip of Taz rollin' down the highway. He's even nice and shiny as this was taken on the way home from the car show. http://i59.ph...

I'm not certain of the circumstances, but he told me that C1 had downgraded the CIS-e to CIS (or at least that's what they told him). I would suppose it is possible that a previous owner had upgraded the injection system at one point. Apparently it never ran all that well in that form either. Perhap...

Yeah I mentioned to him that BFI is selling them on the 'Tex for $125, only trouble is they will only ship to Canada via UPS. Unfortunately that will add huge charges to the total as UPS charges horrendous brokerage fees for x-border shipping.

You can get a brand new eurosport 2 point lower bar for $59 US http://eurosportacc.com/stressbars.htm I would say it is a far better bar than that one, despite what it may look like that is not a 4 point brace, the heavy duty 2 point from eurosport is far stiffer. If you want to spend a few bucks mo...
